About

This book Bringing up Bebe speaks about the french parenting style discovered by an American woman. When American journalist Pamela Druckerman had a baby in Paris, she didn’t aspire to become a “French parent.” But she noticed that French children slept through the night by two or three months old. They ate braised leeks. They played by themselves while their parents sipped coffee. And yet French kids were still boisterous, curious, and creative. Why? How?
Book Cover Redesign
                    Design Process

This book Bringing up Bebe is a redesign work and the original was lacking some vibrancy. I researched a lot of vector art that are vibrant and also illustrated some. The complimentary colors were quite important when choosing the art and Yellow being the color of happiness, I decided that it should be the base color. Blue being yellow’s complimentary color, it automatically got its place for the title of the book.
   Moodboard and Assets
I wanted to go with a warm fall color theme for the book and a complimentary shade for text. I illustrated some leaf designs in Procreate and created a pattern out it in Adobe Illustrator.
Typography

I used Fairwater Solid serif for the title of the book and Georgia as the secondary typeface. I went with a Serif typeface to match the thick and thin lines in the leaf design.
